ExCascadeTree is a powerful multi-column tree-view component that uses Miller Columns visualization (also known as cascading lists) to display and explore hierarchical data. It enables users to open multiple levels of a hierarchy simultaneously while maintaining a clear visual context of their current location, making navigation through complex structures more intuitive and efficient.
The Miller Columns technique has its roots in the Smalltalk browser and was later formalized by Mark S. Miller at Yale University in 1980.
